About the course
Ayurvedic medicine (“Ayurveda”) is one of the world's oldest holistic healing systems, originating in India thousands of years ago.
Ayur stands for ‘life’, and Veda means ‘knowledge’, therefore Ayurveda translates to “Science of Life”. Within its vast teachings, it covers all areas of one’s lifestyle, including our psychology, emotional make-up and interpersonal relationships. Ayurveda teaches us how to find optimal health and wellbeing, by balancing the body, mind, and spirit. Therefore, Ayurveda is a holistic and natural type of medicinal science that can be practiced by anyone. It teaches non-invasive methods to maintain good health, and heal imbalances and issues.
Ayurveda considers the body as a whole, including all of its systems; it considers the relationship of body, mind, and spirit, and targets the cause of the issue, instead of only treating symptoms of a problem or disease.
Ayurveda is the sister science of Yoga, and an ideal practice for anyone looking to learn personalized tools to improve and maintain their overall health and wellbeing.
This course delivers a deeper study of Ayurveda, and it's practical tools to improve and maintain physical, mental and emotional health, suited for those already familiar with this ancient medicinal science. The course will cover a deeper look into the elements, doshas, nutrition and six tastes, the importance of healthy digestion, creation of Ama and Ojas, and practical coaching of clients.
If you are looking to implement Ayurveda in your life on a deeper level, and help others through a coaching practice, then this course is for you. This Ayurveda course is also a perfect complementary education for those looking to share wellness with others, that are already in the wellness industry, such as yoga teachers, meditation teachers, massage therapists, physical therapists, health and nutrition coaches, or those looking to become Ayurvedic therapists. You will learn how to do dosha assessments, give basic Ayurvedic lifestyle and nutrition advice, and learn various tools to complement coaching practices. Yoga teachers will learn how to design classes and teach yoga and meditation according to one's Ayurvedic dosha and wellness needs.

She founded the first Ayurveda and Wellness center in her hometown, and offered weekly meditation classes and monthly workshops on various topics. After years of one-on-one study with her mentor, she traveled to Ayurveda's home of Mysore, India, to deepen her knowledge and practical application of various therapies.
