Ayurvedic medicine (“Ayurveda”) is one of the world's oldest holistic healing systems, originating in India thousands of years ago. Ayur stands for ‘life’, and Veda means ‘knowledge’, therefore Ayurveda translates to “Science of Life”. Within its vast teachings, it covers all areas of one’s lifestyle, including our psychology, emotional make-up and interpersonal relationships. Ayurveda teaches us how to find optimal health and wellbeing, by balancing the body, mind, and spirit. Therefore, Ayurveda is a holistic and natural type of medicinal science that can be practiced by anyone. It teaches non-invasive methods to maintain good health, and heal imbalances and issues. Ayurveda considers the body as a whole, including all of its systems; it considers the relationship of body, mind, and spirit, and targets the cause of the issue, instead of only treating symptoms of a problem or disease.
In this course, you will learn the foundations of Ayurveda and become an Ayurvedic Health Coach (Level 1). Receive a certificate from Hari OM School of Yoga and Ayurveda, and 45h continuing education credits from Yoga Alliance.
